Travel Bloger Paris Perfec 2013

  Blog  Perfect 2013

One day not long ago I woke up to a bright and clear blue sky in Paris. Opening the curtains, I couldn't contain the happy smile that spread across my face as I looked out at the Eiffel Tower soaring above the Parisian buildings across the street. It was early in the morning, but I could already see the tiny elevators making their way up and down the tower. Very soon I would be on one of them … going all the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower! This was the day I was going on a Skip the Line Eiffel Tower Tour by Easy Pass Tours, and the weather could have been better for photos. Our friends at Easy Pass Tours have created a lovely tour to experience the Eiffel Tower without wasting any of your special time in Paris waiting in lines. This is especially helpful during the peak tourist season from spring through autumn and during the winter holidays. During most of the year the lines can snake around under the Eiffel Tower and just waiting to visit can be tiresome, especially if you’re traveling with kids. The is a great choice! We found our very friendly guide Angelica waiting below the south leg, or the “ oilier dud ” of the Eiffel Tower with her brilliant and impossible to miss red scarf. She hopped up on a cement bench so everyone could see and hear, but the group was an intimate size. Easy Pass Tours limits the Skip the Line Eiffel Tower Tours to 20 people max, so the size is always small and friendly. Angelica shared some of the fascinating history of the Eiffel Tower, including fun facts, and explained how the tour would work. And then we were off … first stop … the second leveler guide already had the tickets in hand for our group, so we followed her straight to the “ Oilier Est” and walked through security and into the elevator. Super easy and fast!l!When we arrived on the second level of the Eiffel Tower, our guide shared more about the history of the tower and walked us all the way around to point out the main sights in each direction. We had a lot of fun looking down on the streets of the 7th disfranchisement that now feel like home and picking out the landmarks. Below you can spot the reddish building along , which has excellent collection of arts from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. What sights can you spot?It was easy to pick out the dome and bell tower of Sacra Coercer sitting atop Montreal  Do you see it in the photo below? What was most surprising to me was how small it looked. And from the very top of the Eiffel Tower it was very challenging to even find Montreal as it blended in with the Parisian landscape from so very high!We had plenty of time to enjoy the views, take ridiculous numbers of photos and poke around in the gift shops before meeting up with our guide again. Angelica took us to where the lines were for the elevator to the top level of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, you can’t skip this line … which forms because there is more limited space at the very top. What a view looking at the boats making their way up and down the Seine and looking   I wondered how many people were over there looking up at the Eiffel Tower at that very moment. This was my first experience going all the way to the top level of the Eiffel Tower … and I was giddy like a schoolgirl! Part of me expected the view to be about the same as the second level, and that part of me was completely taken by surprise by the experience at the top. The first thing I noticed as the elevator started up from the second level to the top was that I could already see the green of the Esplanade dies Invalided much better than on the second level. It’s been said the French are like coconuts i have some times called expansion vi-due met look's very nice.but soft on the inside. To some they may seem reserved, standoffish or even cold. But I have proof this is not true! They are as soft and sentimental as anyone…once you get past the rough exterior My children and I were visiting Paris in January 2010 and had heard so much about Angelina’s wonderful hot chocolate, we planned a visit there for our last night in Paris as a special evening to remember. I called ahead to find out their hours and be sure they were open. We plotted our bus route and while we were waiting at the bus stop, I noticed a sign advising of  expensive verity of moments manifestations.I knew this meant strike or demonstration, but my French was not good enough to understand all of it. We hopped aboard and were on our way. What we learned the hard way was the sign was notifying riders the normal route was altered for the day and several stops would be omitted (including the stop for Angelina’s) to avoid the demonstrations. I didn't figure this out until we were two stops beyond our destination, and by this time it was about 30 minutes before Angelina’s closing time.!I approached the Maitreya d’, greeted him with my best “ Bronson monsieur,” and politely asked for a table for three. He looked at me slightly condescendingly and replied, “Non, he regretted Madame, our last seating was five minutes ago.” Thea are collecting of natural going  Even though reservations were not required, we had just missed their last seating and he would not accommodate us.He suggested we come back tomorrow, but I explained this was our last night in Paris and we were leaving in the morning  “No Madame, it is not possible.” I was not going to persuade this immovable Frenchman. Rules were rules, and exceptions could not be made.As a last-ditch effort, I turned to my 9 year old, looked down into his big, brown eyes which were now welling up with tears, stroked his cheek softly and said also natural would reservations we come required seaing“I’m sorry, baby, we tried. We won’t be able to try Angelina’s famous hot chocolate.”Well, that was an emotional watershed moment for l coconut Frenchman. He said simply, “Wait here, Madame,” turned abruptly and scurried off. I had no idea what he was planning, but I was silently hoping he would get permission from some unseen manager to seat us as a late arrival. We waited for what seemed like 10 minutes, and our hopes were growing dim.To our great surprise, he returned with a large paper “to go” cup of hot chocolate with three straws, and a white paper bag with four delicate, pastel macrons  He refused any payment, and wished us bin appendicitis bone chance. We thanked him profusely, bade him Au Ivoire  turned and left. Back out on the street, we took turns lapping up the delicious hot chocolate and shared the sweet, fragrant macaronis, so happy to be in Paris on this dark, cold night in January. Le Coconut had saved the day!
